KiP WELCOMES BACK SARAH WADE AS CEO

Kids in Philanthropy (KiP) is delighted to announce Sarah Wade has been appointed CEO after a rigorous recruitment process. Sarah previously held the position before stepping down in 2020 to focus on other commitments.

During Sarah’s time away, she remained close to the KiP family, continuing to chair KiP’s Hangout for the Homeless campaign and volunteer at our public events. When the opportunity to apply for the CEO role presented again, she realised her journey with KiP was not yet complete. Sarah has returned to KiP with a renewed enthusiasm for expanding KiP’s programs and broadening their reach.

“It is both an honour and a thrill to return to the CEO role. KiP has been such a big part of my life, and my family’s, that it feels like a natural fit. I cannot wait to be part of KiP’s next chapter, expanding our reach, engaging more young people, and celebrating the impact we can achieve together” said Sarah.

Sarah is a Chemical Engineer by trade and worked as a Process Engineer for Qenos before transitioning to the not-for-profit sector. Passionate about creating change in the community, Sarah joined KiP’s Hangout for the Homeless committee in 2015 and has not looked back. Sarah has been instrumental in overseeing the strategic direction of the organisation. This has included growing both KiP’s network in the NFP sector and the impact from their key events.
Sarah holds 1st class Honours Degrees in both Engineering and Business Administration from RMIT. Sarah is most engaged when able to advocate for those in need and align teams to a common purpose.

Kids in Philanthropy (KiP) Background
Kids in Philanthropy is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to grow the culture of giving and social changemaking in Australia. KiP aims to address the significant disadvantage in many Australian communities that continues to result in increasingly negative outcomes for families, in particular, children.

By engaging children and their families in meaningful hands-on experiences, we aim to build social awareness, develop leadership skills and empathy, and provide the fundamentals of how to become a positive changemaker.
